Avianor appoints Mario Lafrance as Vice President & General Manager

Mirabel, Québec – September 30, 2025 – Avianor, an affiliate of DRAKKAR, specialised in commercial and defence aircraft maintenance (MRO) and interior solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mario Lafrance as its new Vice President & General Manager, effective as of September 29, 2025.
Mr. Lafrance succeeds Hugo Brouillard, Chief Operating Officer and President of affiliated companies, who announced his retirement after more than 35 years of distinguished service in the aerospace industry. Mr. Brouillard will remain with Avianor until December 2025, ensuring a smooth transition period.

About Mario Lafrance
Mario Lafrance joins Avianor from Air Transat, where he served as Vice President, Technical Operations/PRM. Over a career spanning more than 35 years in aviation, Mr. Lafrance has built a strong reputation for operational excellence, technical expertise, and strong regulatory knowledge.
Beginning his career in 1989, he has held key positions in technical operations, quality control management, safety, hangar and line maintenance across multiple respected organizations. He has developed deep expertise with a wide range of aircraft, including the Airbus A330, A320, A310, A220 and Boeing 727, 737, 757.
Mr. Lafrance will focus on strengthening Avianor’s role as a leader in A220 maintenance at its Center of Excellence in Mirabel. He will also drive the advancement of Avianor’s MRO and interior solutions services, further positioning the company as a partner of choice in the industry.
