Successful Partnership Between Avianor and LATAM on Customized Interior Solutions
PRESS RELEASE
Montreal, September 9, 2024 – Avianor, an affiliate of DRAKKAR and industry leader with nearly 30 years of aerospace experience in commercial and military aircraft maintenance and interior solutions, and LATAM Airlines Group, the largest airline group in Latin America, based in Santiago, Chile, are proud to announce the successful completion of their collaborative cabin retrofit project on two Boeing 787s.
Avianor, in partnership with LATAM's Cabin Product and Fleet Projects teams, designed, manufactured, certified, and delivered customized Boeing 787 stowage units and installation kits to LATAM. The interior modifications were carried out by LATAM’s MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) team in Chile, and the installation was supported by Avianor with an on-site engineering team member.
This project highlighted Avianor's aircraft interior modification expertise. The team demonstrated its ability to support customers worldwide with turn-key solutions and outstanding service. The Avianor package for the retrofit of these two aircraft, completed in June and most recently in mid‑August, was approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the U.S. and validated by local authorities in Chile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC).

We are proud to have delivered a product that meets the unique needs of our client and to showcase top-quality, interior solutions across borders. Avianor is committed to supporting its current, and future clients, anywhere in the world.” said Marie ‑Christine Huberdeau, Interiors Sales Vice President, Avianor.
“We are pleased with the results achieved by Avianor. This modification will allow us to standardize our fleet, simplify our operation, and enhance passenger experience. We look forward to continuing our partnership in the future,” stated Jaime Cornejo Swett, Cabin Interiors and IFEC Director, LATAM Airlines Group.
